A tidbit on Play-styles & Strategy-types
This game is complex. The way the game is designed, it's left the door open for each player to create their own unique play-style and set of strategies. So, let's talk a little bit about that.
I swear I seen it all; from trolling loners and little half-dead BH's lead by psychos to pirate legends with respect and big diplomatic unions; from drunk heavy hitters and newbie mistakes to brilliant maneuvers and smooth moves from big and small alike; from outside of the box thinkers to folk who can't find their way out of unsealed paper bag; from cheating tactics and sneaky loopholes to following all the rules to a perfect T; from sweet as sugar cane and kitten faces to rotten as shit back-stabbing liars. . . I seen it all on the Pirate Bay server.
Your Play-style is what defines you as a player. You aren't just developing a silly little game account to fart around with, if you are planning on being a real ARMAGEDDON team-player, you are building a well thought out account. What makes yer account? It's all the time, thought, and maybe even money that you put into it; it's the personality you show behind your account; it's yer scores and force size, it's your words and actions. It is a representation of who you are as a player.
Once you understand all your playing options, you will realize you can play the game a few different ways.
You can be a lone player without a BH and troll the big BH's being a pain in their ass....
You can be part of a huge BH to help you grow and stay protected, then bail out for another BH later on should that one not suit you anymore, or stick with your team because loyalty matters...
You can play multiple accounts and spy on other BH's to keep an eye on yer enemies....
You can sail with a small tough BH and be part of the hard-working leadership....
But just know that like in real life, the decisions you make, the actions you take, and words you speak to others, it all build you a reputation. Each reputation has it's positives and negatives. Weigh things carefully.
Some folk choose to play multiple accounts. For the longest time Plarium cracked down on players creating multiple accounts, but lately it doesn't seem to matter to Plarium that everyone runs alt accounts to supplement their main. Just don't go crazy and make a ton of alternate havens, or they will likely ban them. If you play multiple accounts, the doors of opportunity will swing open big for you. If you ever get the chance to take on someone else's account, do it, and then use those accounts to yer advantage. Whether you keep them on yer team and use them for spare troops, or you sit them in yer Ally to help them, or sit them in Enemy BH's to give yourself an advantage over them, that is up to you, but they are there for to increase your in-game capabilities. More things that can be achieved if you run alt accounts, like collecting crucial info and data through means of spying, you can build extra units, fight extra battles, collect extra sketches, generate extra resources, and stir up all kinds of trouble for enemies, as well as help out yer mates more.
If you ask me, you should run about 2-4 accounts in a big, experienced, and competitive team who are part of a coalition of Brotherhoods and build friendship and loyalty with that team; that's the way you should play. Play another 2-4 accounts and place them in Ally and Enemy BH's. This will give you great advantage in the game. The downfall is the time it will take to keep all these accounts productive, but LUNA has some great advice for cutting time from each account without sacrificing account productivity, so discuss this with her.
So many times I am asked, "Luna, what do I train, offense or defense?" There is no simple answer to this question, it really depends on so many things. Here are some questions to ask yerself, which may help you better decide what to do at this point in time with yer haven.
The overall attitude of the ARMAGEDDON is aggressive, but we treat our Allies with respect and friendship. You will need to find a decent balance of good and evil to chill long-term with ARMAGEDDON, but we're a hell of a team, and we're worth it. :)

- What am I producing more of, Lumber or Gold? (Remember, building Offense requires more Lumber, Defense requires more Gold.)
- What do I enjoy playing most, Offense or Defense? (A very relevant question, some of us are born feisty and look for fights, while others enjoy playing the role of protector with their DEF.)
- Where are my Buildings, Discoveries, and upgrades right now? (Focus on your strengths. Your resources give you more fighting force when spent on the units in which you have the highest level of Discoveries done for them.)
- How much time and money am I willing on spending on the game? (Defensive play is suggested for those who don't have a lot of time and money for the game, because that's how you can help your team the most.)
